Summer is a busy time

Many battles important battles in our nation's history were fought in the summer.  Logistically speaking the summer was a good time to wage battle.  Transporting, feeding, and sheltering soldiers were all much easier in the summer than in the winter or even the spring.  What do you think was the most important battle fought on American soil in the month of July or August?
